EAR ON THE OSCARS

Dolby has a nice new series on the Oscar nominated sound designers called creatively “Ear on the Oscars” because you listen to “sounds” with your “ears”.   In order to better promote the campaign and Dolby products, they’ve made these nice littler side panel ads that appear on some entertainment websites.  The above one is for “Lincoln” sound designer Gary Rydstrom.  Notice how they use levity and people’s general dislike of Congress to grab your attention.

Below is another “Ear on the Oscar” ad.  This one is for “Argo” sound editor Ulga Martin.  The copywriters took a slightly different approach with this one and I don’t know if it’s as effective.
